I googled to find that many Sony HDR-CX115 users met the HDR-CX115 AVCHD to Final Cut Express 4 importing issues. One of SONY CX115 users asked:"I have bought Sony HDR-CX115 camcorder that captures on AVCHD. The final files are MTS files. I would like to edit these files in final cut express 4, but they are not compatible... I really need to do this for a client asap, so any help would be very much appreciated!!!"
From the above question, we can learn that this user wanna import and edit Sony HDR-CX115 MTS in Final Cut Express 4, but the AVCHD format is not compatible with FCE natively. In fact, the best editable format for FCE 4 is Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC) .mov format as well as iMovie. So you have to convert Sony HDR-CX115 AVCHD to MOV in AIC Codec for copying and editing in FCE 4 on Mac OS X.
