Are you a Sony HXR-NX5U user? From googling, I found some users want to know how to smoothly import .mts/.m2ts files from NX5U to FCP 7 for editing all the time. These users often met come errors when they drag or copy Sony HXR-NX5U AVCHD recordings to FCP 7. There were major issues... many users complained that if a clip was over 5 minutes long, it would take 3-4 hours to import. As we know, AVCHD is not a good editing video format, so we often meeet some trouble and take some rendering time when importing.
If you don’t want to waste time and money to make the update of your video editing pro, you’d better invest to get a powerful and be-used-forever tool to encode AVCHD to FCP 7 native support format Apple ProRes for fast importing and editing. STEP 4: Start to convert
